How to Avoid or Beat Jet Lag

Although The Gate first reported on how jet lag can make you dumb, the more common symptoms of jet lag include sleepiness and feeling lethargic.

Not to worry, however, as FlyerTalk members share their solutions and secrets for avoiding or beating jet lag, including but not limited to:

  • Attempting to stay awake until acclimated to local time
  • Avoiding alcoholic beverages
  • Recommending medication
  • Drinking plenty of water
  • Changing diet temporarily
  • Using items of comfort, such as pillows and blankets
  • Take a shower when arriving at the destination
  • Travel constantly
