JetBlue Airways Offers $99 Flights to Florida

As airports and airlines are slowly returning back to full operations after being rudely interrupted by an unwanted hurricane named Irma, JetBlue Airways is offering at a reduced fare of $99.00 for direct flights and $159.00 for connecting flights any remaining seats on flights to Florida which are scheduled to depart through Monday, September 18, 2017.

JetBlue Airways Offers $99 Flights to Florida

As I first mentioned in this article, JetBlue Airways had capped the cost of flights from areas affected by Hurricane Irma to a maximum of $99.00.

Some cities outside of Florida which have been adversely affected by Tropical Storm Irma — including Savannah and Charleston — are also included in this special offer.

Although approximately 450 flights have already been canceled through Friday, September 15, 2017, JetBlue Airways had also added approximately 117 flights in addition to its regular schedule to help customers and members of its flight crews.

Additionally, JetBlue Airways continues to waive cancellation fees as well as waiving change fees and differences in air fare for rebooking — similarly to other airlines.

If you need to travel to Florida — and if officials at your destination deem it safe to do so — you may want to take advantage of this offer. It is a viable alternative to driving south to Florida on Interstate 75 and Interstate 95, which has been as horrendous — if not more so — as driving to and driving from the total solar eclipse which occurred last month.

May the recovery efforts be as quick, effortless and smooth as possible for all of the people who were adversely affected by the storm known as Irma — and I offer my condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances of the 37 people who have died so far as a result of this once-powerful storm.
