Lightning Causes Colombian Airplane Crash in Caribbean

The fact that a Colombian plane crashes after lightning strike, one dead and 114 injured is a miracle, considering that this accident could have been far more tragic.

A Boeing 737 aircraft, operated by Aires, was on its way from Bogota when it reportedly was struck by lightning before it crashed into three distinct pieces and scattered passengers all over the runway on the Caribbean island of San Andres.

The cause of the sole fatality was attributed to a heart attack.
