When moving long distances, our company pretty much only uses the airlines, except when breed restrictions force us to use ground transport. Just as a brief overview touching on a couple of the main reasons why flying is preferable over ground transport- it’s much less stressful for the animal, and when using a pet-safe airline that strictly adheres to a pet-safe policy, it is really the safest method of transportation for live animals. Also, although the cost of airfare may not be cheap- hiring good quality ground transport actually turns out to be more expensive. Hope this information helps!
