“My Newborn Babys…Came Out Deformed”: Auschwitz Comment Posted on TripAdvisor

An insensitive comment pertaining to a visit to Auschwitz Museum which was posted on TripAdvisor was finally removed after the comment was initially approved as having complied with the submission guidelines of the site which features reviews of travel experiences.

Greater than one million people — most of whom were Jewish — were killed by the Nazis at Auschwitz during World War II. Auschwitz is considered hallowed ground and a stark reminder of what can happen when inappropriately horrific human behavior spirals out of control.

“We have reported this review of the @AuschwitzMuseum posted on @TripAdvisor”, according to the official Twitter site of Auschwitz Memorial. “‘This place was great went there with my newborn babys to test the chamber but they came out deformed. But its fun for the family.’”

In reference to TripAdvisor, “According the company, it complies with their submission guidelines.”

The review was eventually removed from TripAdvisor; and the user who wrote it was banned.

A statement from TripAdvisor assured that discrimination is not tolerated and millions of reviews which violate its guidelines are regularly blocked or removed: “In this case, our initial screening failed to identify this review as promoting intolerance. Through our escalation process, this review was removed. We always aim to get it right the first time and we apologize to the Auschwitz Memorial and Museum and the Jewish community at-large for this initial miss.”

The official response from Auschwitz Memorial was “Thank you @TripAdvisor for removing the review.”

The executives at TripAdvisor might want to consider improving its process of the approval of comments to its site to help avoid incidents like this one from happening again…

…but in the meantime, I will let the comments on Twitter in response to the aforementioned messages speak as to how I feel about this — as well as the articles which I have written to this point pertaining to my visits to the former concentration camps of Auschwitz and Dachau, both of which I highly recommend visiting:

  1. I appreciate your blog Seth. Unfortunately, all you know about this is propaganda you see in $300 million dollar Hollywood movies and from the Jewish propaganda racket. Jews controlled and owned every single industry in Germany despite being 2% of the population. The Germans removed Jews from controlling Germany and gave Germany back to Germans. Jews were asked to leave german and many didn’t. When WWII came around and German was fighting for its survival, Germany rounded up all communists (which included all Jews) and placed them in internment camps. The U.S. did the same thing to the Japanese. It’s war. Jews were the biggest supporters of communism, created communism (Marx/Trotsky), and that could not be ignored. If a few million died in these camps, it’s due to the U.S. and British bombing supply lines. 10 million German civilians starved to death as well between 1944-1948 because of the soviets/British/U.S. cutting off supply lines and then starving the population when occupying. The Soviets killed 100 million civilians during its 80 year reign, including the forced starvation of 20 million Ukrainians between 1932-1941 known as the holomodor. No one talks about this because this because it doesn’t fit the narrative. Germans liberated Ukraine from communism that Jews supported.

I decided to go to Auschwitz spontaneously because I found myself in Krakow and saw that it was very close, about an hour and a half away by bus, so I booked a place on the website for an English-speaking tour. The tour was led by a Polish lady with good knowledge of the language, first I visited Auschwitz-1, and then I went to Auschwitz-2 together with my guide. To say I was impressed was nothing. We spent 3.5 hours walking, listening, and processing all the information. A place with negative energy… Only here do you understand the horror of those years, I would never go back there, but the place is a must-visit once in a lifetime. This is history, physical evidence of Nazism, a ruthless death factory during the war. It’s a place worth visiting to know the history and not to repeat such a thing ever again. To ponder – how one man could indoctrinate many thousands of people with his idea for which they murdered others. Now unfortunately something like this is happening in one big country (you know which one). These premises of shoes, hair, and prostheses – only tentatively show how many personalities were destroyed by the system, by the idea. In such a place one thinks and then analyzes many things in life.
