“News Flash”: Suspicious Flashlight?

The Surefire G3 flashlight which caught the attention of a Transportation Security Administration agent at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

Let’s shine the light on a flashlight which received a thorough inspection by a Transportation Security Administration agent at a security checkpoint at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
After the bag containing the plastic flashlight was reportedly flagged, a bulb went off on a Transportation Security Administration agent, who not only wanted to know if it was a “tactical” flashlight — which left FlyerTalk member phil_flyer in the dark as to what that meant — but also gave it a thorough inspection with filthy blue gloves by turning it on and off, swinging it and aiming it at its owner while on.
FlyerTalk members have no clue as to whose bright idea it is to start being suspicious about flashlights, but they are aiming to find out some answers.
In the meantime, for your entertainment perusal, may we suggest the following pertinent song from 1978 as sung by George Clinton and the group Parliament to which phil_flyer might want to tell that Transportation Security Administration agent to go funk off?
