If you recently registered as a new member of FlyerTalk — or if you happen to request some advice on award travel — the new Information Desk forum on FlyerTalk is now open for business where fellow FlyerTalk members are ready to assist you.
Although FlyerTalk is not meant to be used in lieu of a travel agent or travel planning service, many FlyerTalk members ask questions and advice about travel — as evidenced by this discussion. The matter was then brought to the attention of members of the TalkBoard, who approved of this new forum earlier this month with eight members voting for its creation and one member voting against it.
The Information Desk forum is moderated by FlyerTalk members jackal and scoow — both of whom I know well and will be extremely helpful to ensuring that you receive the information you request in what is to be a “snark-free” zone. There is no such thing as a stupid question in the Information Desk forum; and no question is too small or petty to be answered by friendly fellow FlyerTalk members who will be more than happy to assist and guide you.
Three “sticky” discussions — two of which include a WikiPost — has already been launched for your convenience.
