That is exactly what Hertz Corporation is offering when you rent your choice of vehicle at select corporate locations by Sunday, January 31, 2021 for a minimum of one day and a maximum of ten days — but you must book your rental car reservation at least 24 hours in advance of picking up the vehicle.

Identical offers are also available through Dollar Car Rental and Thrifty Car Rental — although the terms and conditions of their versions of this offer may vary.

As an example, I was able to find a small sedan to rent from a Hertz rental car facility in Beverly Hills in the Los Angeles metropolitan area on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 to drop off in Wilmington in North Carolina on Sunday, January 31, 2021 for a grand total of $43.85 for four full days — that includes all taxes and fees — and that was at a base rate of only $8.99 per day.

Renting the same car for ten days — that is, through Saturday, February 6, 2021 — would have cost a grand total of $109.62 to drive completely across the United States.
