Rate Plan AIRPRO to Earn 1,000 Bonus Miles Per Stay With Starwood Preferred Guest in Multiple Loyalty Programs

I mentioned in this article back on Thursday, July 27, 2017 that you can earn 1,000 bonus American Airlines AAdvantage miles per stay when you stay a minimum of two nights at participating hotel and resort properties of Starwood Hotels and Resorts by Sunday, December 31, 2017 — but you must be a member of the Starwood Preferred Guest program to take advantage of this offer; and you must mention rate plan AIRPRO when you book your reservation via:

Rate Plan AIRPRO to Earn 1,000 Bonus Miles Per Stay With Starwood Preferred Guest in Multiple Loyalty Programs

Well, it turns out that rate plan AIRPRO is not just exclusive to the American Airlines AAdvantage frequent flier loyalty program, as you can also earn 1,000 bonus miles or points in the following frequent travel loyalty programs:

Select Terms and Conditions

All of the aforementioned promotions end by December 31, 2017.

Rates are per room, per night, based on single or double occupancy and availability at time of reservation; and do not include additional charges per room per night which may be imposed, or state taxes or local taxes.

This offer cannot to be combined with other offers or promotions; and it is subject to change. A limited number of rooms may be available with regard to this offer. Blackout dates and other restrictions may apply. This offer is not applicable to groups and is void where prohibited by law.

To receive miles in lieu of Starpoints, you must participate in the Airline Direct Deposit portion of the Starwood Preferred Guest program. With Airline Direct Deposit, Starpoints earned from eligible hotel stays and select bonus offers will be converted automatically into miles, will be credited to your frequent travel loyalty program account and may not be transferred back to your SPG account. If recipient does not participate in Airline Direct Deposit, Starpoints will be earned in the Starwood Preferred Guest program.

Other terms and conditions apply.

Many of these offers were valid in previous years with December 31 as the last day of the promotion; so I would not be surprised if the offers continue into 2018 for many — if not all — of the aforementioned frequent travel loyalty programs starting in February.

Asiana Club seems to be one example of a frequent flier loyalty program which participated in this offer in 2016 but not this year — at least, not that I was able to find.

I would not be surprised if other frequent travel loyalty programs have similar offers. If I find them — or if you find them and post them in the Comments section below — I intend to add them to the list in this article.

I also imagine that the two toll-free telephone numbers — 1-877-782-0108 and 1-877-782-0150 — used in all of the offers are interchangeable.

Although the terms and conditions of at least one of the offers tend to specifically state that this “Offer is valid at participating Starwood Hotels & Resorts in North and Latin America”, the offer seems to be valid worldwide — and that can be confusing.

This offer might be advantageous in which to participate if you do not stay at Starwood Hotels and Resorts properties worldwide or if you stay at the least expensive hotel properties; but I personally value Starpoints higher than airline miles — if only because of the bonus of 5,000 Starpoints for every 20,000 which are transferred into any of the greater than 30 different frequent flier loyalty programs.
