This is a reminder that you can earn 1,500 Marriott Bonvoy frequent guest loyalty program points for all stays of a minimum of two consecutive nights — starting with your first stay — at greater than 7,000 participating hotel and resort properties worldwide between Tuesday, July 2, 2019 through Monday, September 16, 2019…

Reminder: Starting July 2, Earn 1,500 Marriott Bonvoy Points With Every Stay Summer 2019

…but if you have not done so already, you must log into your Marriott Bonvoy membership account and register for this Endless Earning promotion by Monday, September 2, 2019 in order to participate in it, as registration is a requirement. Other that the duration of time, no maximum limit exists as to how many points you can earn through this promotion.

Your choice of 28 of the 30 brands of Marriott International, Incorporated which are participating in this promotion are as follows:

Select Terms and Conditions

Only one room per hotel or resort property is counted toward nights or stays.

The 1,500 points earning is only applicable to base points earned per stay. Bonus Marriott Bonvoy points will be awarded to your membership account within six weeks after the conclusion of this promotion.

Members electing to earn frequent flier loyalty program miles are not eligible for this promotion.

An eligible stay is defined as a minimum of two consecutive nights paying an eligible rate in the same hotel or resort property — regardless of the number of times you check in or check out of a hotel or resort property — and posting to your Marriott Bonvoy membership account.

ExecuStay, Marriott Executive Apartments and Marriott Vacation Club owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for bonus points; and nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for bonus points.

Note that rooms booked through most third party retailers — as well as select travel agency bookings — are ineligible to earn bonus Marriott Bonvoy points for this promotion.

Other terms and conditions — including those of the Marriott Bonvoy frequent guest loyalty program — apply.

This promotion is better than the most recent double points promotion if you tend to earn fewer than 1,500 Marriott Bonvoy points per stay of two minimum consecutive nights; and you start earning them on your first stay and not your second stay.

Once again, the terms and conditions state that “The member receiving this offer has been targeted and the offer is not transferable” — but that is unusual because in past years, all members of what was then known as the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program have been eligible for the quarterly promotion — even if they received targeted offers — if I recall correctly…

…and sure enough, Sandy — who is a reader of The Gate — posted in the Comments section to indeed confirm not being qualified to participate in a recent promotion offered from Marriott Rewards.

The ExecuStay brand was quietly removed from what was then called the Marriott Rewards portfolio, as it was sold back in 2012 but remained as a participant of the Marriott Rewards frequent guest loyalty program until recently. I am not sure why this brand is still mentioned in the terms and conditions of promotions from Marriott Bonvoy.

I have already registered for this promotion, which consumed all of fewer than 30 seconds for me — and although it is a decent promotion which is potentially lucrative, I will likely not take advantage of it.
