Safari: This is What They Call a Box Lunch?!?

hen we were informed that we would stop somewhere in Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya during our safari to have a box lunch, I figured that it would be a sandwich and a piece of fruit in a box; and I was preparing myself to skip lunch altogether.

We stopped in the middle of this amazingly vast expanse of land. The staff on the safari asked us to step outside of the vehicles and relax while waiting for a few minutes until they were ready.

The “box” lunch turned out to be a very filling and tasty buffet, set up at the rear of one of the vans — way beyond my initial expectations. It was very good!

The safari was operated by Nomad Africa Adventure Tours; and this is the tour on which I participated. I normally do not like tours of any kind; but they did an excellent job. There were eleven participants on the safari on which I participated, which was just the right amount of people, in my opinion. The maximum number of participants is 18.

I received absolutely no compensation at all for this review.
