Save Up to 15 Percent in Texas 2019 With Marriott Bonvoy — But…

You can save up to 15 percent off of retail room rates when you stay in a deluxe room at your choice of different hotel and resort properties with Marriott Bonvoy in the state of Texas…

Save Up to 15 Percent in Texas 2019 With Marriott Bonvoy — But…

…but you must book your reservations early using promotion code ADP. If you are not a member of the Marriott Bonvoy frequent guest loyalty program, you can only save ten percent with this offer.

This is where I normally post the last date on which this promotion is in effect. This is where I normally post individual hotel and resort properties or brands — with links — which are participating in this promotion. This is where I normally post the terms and conditions to this promotion…

…but I cannot find them anywhere — not even in the e-mail message which I received from Marriott Bonvoy pertaining specifically to this offer.

I then decided to choose a random city and date to see what I can find out; and I stumbled upon a minimum rate of $949.00 for one night at the SpringHill Suites Houston Downtown/Convention Center hotel property if I check in on Wednesday, April 17, 2019…

…but that does not include a State Cost Recovery Fee of $5.83 and estimated government taxes and fees of $162.32, which brings the grand total cost for that one night to $1,117.15…

…and that does not include a valet parking fee of $32.00 if you happen to arrive with a car and cannot park it yourself for whatever reason.

I suspected that the $162.32 in estimated government taxes and fees to include a mandatory resort fee — but I have not found specific evidence of that. I also suspected that the wording of estimated government taxes and fees to be spurious, having the potential customer to believe that the fees are also imposed by the government even though the word government likely only applies to the word taxes and not the word fees.

Then again, those estimated government taxes and fees are likely high due to the high cost of the room, as this hotel property is almost sold out on the date I chose. If the room rate was a more reasonable $94.90 for the night, the estimated government taxes and fees would likely be $16.23.

I found the bargain rate of $930.00 for the night — not including taxes and fees — if I decided to pay for my stay in full at the time of booking the reservation.

I never did find the special rate of up to 15 percent off — or the aforementioned missing information.

Summary

Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have found a promotion from Marriott Bonvoy which did not include pertinent information about which you should know — including the last day of which the promotion is in effect; the list of participating hotel and resort properties; and the terms and conditions.

Am I missing where exactly this information is located; or is this becoming a new — and possibly disturbing trend — in which Marriott Bonvoy announces a promotion with the possibly purposeful obfuscation of details? Is this simply an ongoing offer which seems to be disguised as a limited-time promotion?
