SkyMiles Worth Double When Redeemed For Delta Vacations Packages — Hours Left

Your SkyMiles are worth double their value when you book a Delta Vacations package anywhere in the world — as long as a minimum stay of two nights at participating hotel and resort properties are part of the package — meaning that $1,000.00 towards a vacation package now costs 50,000 SkyMiles instead of 100,000 SkyMiles…

SkyMiles Worth Double When Redeemed For Delta Vacations Packages — Hours Left

…but you must redeem up to a maximum of 999,999 of your SkyMiles for a package offered by Delta Vacations by tonight, Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11:59 in the evening Eastern Daylight Time.

What’s more, redeeming SkyMiles towards a Delta Vacations package is treated as though it was revenue — as in paying for tickets with cash — when you book your reservations through Delta Vacations. This means that you will earn redeemable SkyMiles as well as Medallion Qualification Miles when you redeem your SkyMiles through this offer, which can potentially sweeten the deal.

“Greg took a look at Detroit to London from May 10-14, 2020. The best nonstop price per person for those dates is $2639 per person”, according to this article written by Nick Reyes of Frequent Miler. “However, booking through Delta vacations, you can get that same trip for two people with hotel for $1,555.58 total. That’s $778 each. Or it’s bookable with 77,779 SkyMiles total.”

If you cancel your reservation, the SkyMiles will not be refunded and deposited back into your SkyMiles membership account. Instead, you will receive credit in the form of a voucher to be used towards another offering from Delta Vacations for the value of the SkyMiles at the time of they were applied to the booking as payment.

Although good deals can be had, I am not taking advantage of this offer because many of the packages which originate from Atlanta are overpriced; so do your due diligence prior to purchasing a package from Delta Vacations to ensure that you are getting the best deal.
