Test Yourself: How Well Do You Know The World? Try This Game.

No, this is not GeoGuessr.

Yes, I know: you travel so much that you have been to nine continents; 65 states in the United States — including the states of Jefferson, CascadiaNew Columbia, and perhaps even Washington Douglass Commonwealth — and found countries of which no one has even discovered as of yet, let alone heard…

…but just how well do you know the world?

Test Yourself: How Well Do You Know The World? Try This Game.

The way Worldle works is somewhat similar to that of the popular word game Wordle: instead of a word, you are shown a white silhouette of a valid country or territory of which you have six chances to guess correctly. After each guess, you will have the distance in either miles or kilometers, the direction, and the proximity from your guess and the target country.

Click on the illustration above to access Worldle — but be forewarned: you might become addicted to playing it. The only problem is that — as with Wordle — you only have one opportunity to play the game per day once you have guessed the correct answer or you have exhausted all of your attempts.

You might recognize a country or territory immediately — or you might guess it correctly after a few attempts…

…but you can also access the Settings option to alter the game to give you more of a challenge by increasing its difficulty — either by hiding the country image or randomly rotating the country image.

Final Boarding Call

I figured that if you are one of those people who wants to briefly escape the woes of the world — such as the current 2019 Novel Coronavirus pandemic or the latest winter weather or the invasion of Ukraine by armed military forces from Russia — perhaps you could use some levity for the moment.

Unlike Geoguessr — which you could play unlimited times per day at one time but was reduced to a simpler version unless you paid for the professional version — Worldle is limited to being played only once per day.

How well do you know the world? How many countries or territories can you recognize? Please feel free to share your experiences in the Comments section below.

No — no need to thank me. You are welcome. Now let’s see you be able to break away from this game after you started playing it — even if you can only play it once per day…
