Three New Earnings Improvements January 2020 For Hilton Honors Members
Members of the Hilton Honors frequent guest loyalty program can enjoy three new enhancements to the way points are earned — as guided by member feedback — effective as of tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, 2020, according to this content which was posted on FlyerTalk by William R. Sanders, who is a social media specialist for Hilton and is also known as Hilton Honors Ambassador on FlyerTalk.
Three New Earnings Improvements January 2020 For Hilton Honors Members
Benefit improvements to earning Hilton Honors points include:
- Members will now be able to earn base points on up to four rooms on eligible multi-room reservations, which is an increase from the current limit of two rooms.
- A limit on the number of base points which a member can earn per stay will no longer be in effect. Previously, members were unable to accrue greater than 100,000 base points per stay at certain portfolio brands of Hilton.
- Members will now be able to earn points on eligible hotel incidental spend at all portfolio brands of Hilton. Previously, members staying at hotel properties under the following brands earned points on room rate only:
- Hampton by Hilton
- Tru by Hilton
- Home2 Suites by Hilton
- Homewood Suites by Hilton
Summary
The terms and conditions of these improvements will be updated as of tomorrow, Thursday, January 9, 2020; and albeit relatively minor, they all seem to be meaningfully beneficial improvements overall for members of the Hilton Honors frequent guest loyalty program — and FlyerTalk members who posted in the aforementioned thread seem to agree.
