You will need to redeem only 36,000 MileagePlus miles for a round trip itinerary through this offer — as opposed to the typical cost of 45,000 MileagePlus miles for Saver Award fares, which are the least expensive fares when redeeming MIleagePlus miles. Taxes should cost $11.20 in total.

The ticket must be purchased as part of a round-trip itinerary and not for one way flights — but although it is valid for travel seven days per week, do not be surprised if some days do not offer the special discount, as shown in this random calendar for flights between Atlanta and Honolulu…

…but that could also mean that Saver Award fares on some flights or routes may already be sold out.

No blackout dates are associated with this promotion; but no stopovers are permitted.

According to this article written by Matthew Klint of Live and Let’s Fly, this sale began yesterday — but only for members of the MileagePlus frequent flier loyalty program who either earned Premier elite level status or currently hold a credit card branded by United Airlines.


No link exists to this special offer; so if you are interested in saving 20 percent on the redemption of MileagePlus miles to or from Hawaii, you will need to search for the desired itinerary within the duration of the promotion — but you only have through tonight to do so.
