Typhoon Roke Threatens Devastated Northeastern Coast of Japan

Typhoon Roke is expected to make landfall in southern Japan and head to the northeast, potentially affecting areas of Japan already devastated by the earthquakes and tsunamis earlier this year.

Typhoon Roke is expected to make landfall on Japan within the next 24 hours, threatening to ravage parts of Japan already devastated by the earthquakes and tsunamis earlier this year with damaging winds, waves, tidal surges and flash floods.
Greater than 200 flights were already canceled, and more flight disruptions — such as this one — are expected. Some bullet train service was reportedly also suspended.
Keep an eye on the airline forum you frequent on FlyerTalk to monitor any flight disruptions.
