Up to 100 Percent Bonus on Purchased or Gifted US Airways Dividend Miles — But Hurry…

If you have been looking to purchase your US Airways Dividend Miles, now is the time to do so: you could receive a 100 percent bonus on the amount of Dividend Miles purchased with the latest promotion by US Airways — and gifting US Airways Dividend Miles to someone is also valid for this promotion.
The amount of Dividend Miles which you may purchase or gift is capped at a maximum of 50,000 Dividend Miles.
FlyerTalk member PGHflyer reports that there is an increase of approximately 65 percent in cost when compared to the promotion from earlier this month where the value was 1.135 cents per Dividend Mile — during which you could only share Dividend Miles instead of purchasing or gifting them. “$0.0188 each (after taxes and fees) for this one”, posts PGHflyer.
“There is one explanation other than a devaluation in mileage value right around the corner”, speculates FlyerTalk member BoeingBoy: “Getting as much revenue as possible before the end of the quarter/year to make the bottom line look better.”
Despite the higher cost per Dividend Mile, this offer may worth considering — especially if you need to top off your US Airways Dividend Miles account for an award ticket that might otherwise cost more money in airfare than through the purchase of Dividend Miles; or if you are a member of the American Airlines AAdvantage frequent flier loyalty program, as its consolidation with the Dividend Miles frequent flier loyalty program is expected to start sometime next month as a result of the official closing of the merger on December 9, 2013.
Although US Airways had numerous promotions in the past similar to this one, now that it has merged with American Airlines, this could by your final opportunity to take advantage of such a deal. However, you need to act fast if you are interested in this offer: this promotion to either purchase or gift US Airways Dividend Miles is only on through December 20, 2013.
I personally would not consider the offer at the lower levels: if you purchase or gift between 10,000 and 19,000 Dividend Miles, the bonus is only 50 percent instead of 100 percent; and if you purchase or gift between 20,000 and 29,000 Dividend Miles, the bonus is only 75 percent instead of 100 percent.
If you are a resident of Canada who wants to take advantage of this promotion, you will be charged a goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax.
All transactions are non-refundable; and share transactions are not eligible for the bonus Dividend Miles. This offer is not valid for US Airways Dividend Miles accounts fewer than twelve days old, so if you do not have a US Airways Dividend Miles account yet and want to take advantage of this promotion, you are out of luck this time around.
Other terms, conditions and restrictions apply.
