Warning: Security Breach of E-Mail Accounts at Various Companies

If you have given your e-mail address to Hilton HHonors, Marriott Rewards, credit card companies and other trusted corporations in the world, there is a good chance that the security of your e-mail account may have been compromised.

All of the affected companies have one thing in common: they all used database marketing vendor Epsilon to handle the privacy of e-mail accounts of millions of people – and you just might be one of them affected by this breach in privacy regarding your e-mail address.

In addition to the HHonors account information security data breach, there have been security breaches at other companies as well, including a Marriott Rewards Data Breach, an Epsilon data breach (email addresses) with credit card companies, and Email Address security Breaches affecting other companies such as Disney, Brookstone, Best Buy, Chase and Tivo — and FlyerTalk members are learning from those discussions exactly what they need to do to protect their privacy and help to keep their e-mail accounts secure.
