Well, I Spoke Too Soon…

…f or as I arrived at the gate to start my unintentional trip around the world, the computer systems were not working.

I knew that things were going too smoothly. I spoke too soon.

“This thing keeps quitting on me”, exclaimed one exasperated gate agent. “It’s taking forever to boot up again.”

A fellow gate agent could not ascertain whether the problem was systemwide; but it certainly was on all of the computers available at the gate.

My next flight is on a different airline on a different itinerary — and the computer problems are already delaying this flight.

Will I make it?…
