  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

…or at least two of these symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

When to Seek Medical Attention for Possible Exposure to 2019 Novel Coronavirus

To worsen matters, the lists which are included in this article are not all inclusive; so please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms which are severe or concerning to you.

Symptoms may appear between two days and 14 days after exposure to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus — but seek medical attention immediately if you have any of these emergency warning signs:

  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion or inability to arouse
  • Bluish lips or face

Summary

For any medical emergency, call 911; and if you believe you may have contracted the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, notify the operator that you have it — or think you might have it. If possible, cover your face with a cloth covering prior to the arrival of medical help.
