As I was driving along a highway on a cold but sunny day, I noticed something which caught my attention and immediately pulled my vehicle over to take a photograph with my camera…

That quite bizarre junction in north metro Atlanta where a semi-rural highway meets a modern-day express lane… and no one in our fine state has any clue how to point signage. Perhaps there is a reasonable solution?
The signs are posted in english. Everyone knows spanish is the official language in the USA and we are having a hard time getting dumb english speaking people to learn a more refined language like spanish.
Presumably there is a roadway in the middle with a 65 mph speed limit? If that’s the case, there should be no yellow line on the left, as traffic is flowing in the same direction on both sides of it.
There should, of course, be a 70 mph marker to the right of the 65 mph one as well, as those in the left lane may not see the 70.
It’s quite obvious, the left lane is the slow lane on this freeway.
It’s obvious to me that if you are driving against traffic you are limited to drive only 65. If you are driving with traffic you can go 70. I drive with traffic most of the time because I can go faster.
I don’t know why you think it is odd to have to decelerate 5 mph in 5 feet…
Certainly it can be achieved easily by slamming your entire body weight onto the brake pad.
It is an excellent workout best done earlier in the day, as it gets the adrenaline flowing.
