…but you must electronically submit your claim with a valid claim no later than Wednesday, October 8, 2020 using this form; and you must be a legal resident of the United States in order to be a member of the class action lawsuit settlement.

In a consolidated class action lawsuit pending against Google, the plaintiffs asserted various legal claims on behalf of a putative class of users of Google+ who were allegedly harmed by the aforementioned software bugs on the Google+ platform. Google denies all allegations and is entering into this settlement to avoid burdensome and costly litigation. The settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing by Google.

If you would prefer to exclude yourself from this settlement so that you may sue on your own behalf, you must complete and submit your request for exclusion — including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and signed with your signature — so that it is received no later than Wednesday, October 8, 2020 to:

Google Plus Data Litigation
Attn: Opt-Out Requests
P.O. Box 58220
Philadelphia, PA, 19102

If you have any objections to the settlement, you must submit your objections by Wednesday, October 8, 2020 either electronically or via postal mail to:

Google Plus Data Litigation
Attn: Settlement Objections
P.O. Box 58220
Philadelphia, PA, 19102

The court will hold a final hearing at 9:00 in the morning Pacific Standard Time on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at:

United States District Court for the Northern District of California
San Jose Division
Courtroom 4 on the fifth floor
280 South 1st Street
San Jose, California 95113

At the final hearing, the court will consider whether the settlement is fair, reasonable, and adequate. If there are objections, the court will consider them.

If you do decide to participate in this settlement, completion of the claim form supposedly will consume only a few minutes of your time; but do not expect any major windfall, as you will not exactly get rich from this settlement — expect five dollars; or the slight possibility of up to $12.00 at the most — but that may be better than nothing at all.
