Your Chance to Live Anywhere In the World For One Year With Airbnb

You could be one of a diverse set of twelve individuals who could win an opportunity to live anywhere in the world — exclusively in properties which are listed on Airbnb — for one year with up to three companions with Live Anywhere on Airbnb…

Your Chance to Live Anywhere In the World For One Year With Airbnb

…but you must apply for a chance to be selected for this experience by Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11:59 in the evening Eastern Daylight Time, with a limit of one application per applicant.

The year is expected to occur from July 2021 through July 2022; and ten of those months will include traveling to — and living in — properties which are listed on Airbnb.

The share of stays 28 days or longer on Airbnb increased 10 percent in nights booked when comparing 2019 to the first quarter of 2021, according to the Airbnb Report on Travel & Living. Eleven percent of long-term stay people who booked reservations with Arrbnb in 2021 reported living a nomadic lifestyle, with 74 percent of consumers who were surveyed across five countries expressing interest in living someplace other than where their employer is based after the current 2019 Novel Coronavirus pandemic is over.

Because this trend is likely here to stay, the team at Airbnb is looking forward to working with the community to help shape the future of flexible living — and as a participant, you would be responsible of informing on:

  • Product changes and resources that could help improve the long-term living experience on Airbnb
  • Ideal types of accommodations for solo travelers or groups like families
  • Better understanding of financial benefits of hosting while traveling

Award and Covered Expenses

The award is between $12,000.00 and $24,000.00 — depending on the number of companions — in United States dollars of Airbnb credits to be used for the first five months of travel, tentatively scheduled to begin in September of 2021; and between $12,000.00 and $24,000.00 — depending on the number of companions — in United States dollars of Airbnb credits to be used for the second five months of travel, tentatively scheduled for February of 2022, should both Airbnb and the participant elect to for participant to continue their participation in the program. Credits are intended for use by the participant during their participation in the program. Any unused credits following the conclusion of the twelve month period will expire. Credits for the first five months of travel beginning in September of 2021 will be awarded to the participant following the participant’s acceptance of the award in order to allow the participant to begin planning their travel while also participating in the information session.

One-time award of between $5,000.00 and $12,000.00 — depending on the number of companions — in United States dollars which the participant may use for transportation and/or other travel related expenses.

Expenses which will be covered by Airbnb for the duration of the program for the twelve participants and up to three companions each include — but are not limited to:

  • Credit for accommodations
  • Transportation allowance
  • Listing suggestions
  • Local Experiences
