How to Enter the Sweepstakes

Select guests at Sponsor’s hotel properties will receive invitations via e-mail message to provide reviews of their hotel stays — for residents of Germany: only pre-existing members of the IHG Rewards Club will receive email invitations. During the Promotion Period, an eligible entrant may follow the links and instructions contained in the email invitation to take the guest satisfaction survey to provide feedback on the specific hotel stay identified in the invitation. Survey must be completed within 30 days after the date on which the email invitation was sent; provided, that submissions received after December 31, 2021 will not result in an entry even if the email invitation was sent on or after December 1, 2021. Each entrant must fully complete and submit the survey and the registration form, including the full legal name of the entrant — as included in entrant’s government issued identification documents, valid e-mail address, and any other information requested on the registration form. By entering a Submission, entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and confirms that entrant has read and understands the information contained in the Data Protection Notice contained within the Official Rules and Sponsor’s privacy policy, referenced below. Entrant will receive one entry into the Entry Period during which his or her submission was received by Sponsor.

To enter without receiving an invitation or completing a survey — which is not applicable for residents of Mexico, who may only enter by completing an online guest survey — an eligible entrant may send an e-mail message along with his or her full name and country of residence to which states the following:

“I would like to enter the Promotion without completing a survey. I have read, understand, and agree to the Official Rules of the Promotion, including the Data Protection Notice contained within the Official Rules which sets out how my personal information will be transferred, retained, processed and stored by Sponsor and my rights with respect to such processing, subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.”

Upon receipt of the above-referenced e-mail message by the sponsor, the entrant will receive one entry into the entry period during which the submission was received by the sponsor.


The total approximate retail value of all of the grand prizes is $6,000.00, with 48 winners in total.

Four winners per entry period will each have 25,000 points credited to his or her IHG Rewards Club membership account. The approximate retail value of this prize is $125.00.

You must be a member of the IHG Rewards Club frequent guest loyalty program. If you are not already a member of the IHG Rewards Club frequent guest loyalty program, you can join as a member now at no cost.

This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

The credited points may thereafter be redeemed in any manner consistent with the terms and conditions of the IHG Rewards Club frequent guest loyalty program, which are subject to change at any time without notice. This promotion is basically a continuation of one from last year; but I found out about it too late to feature in an article here at The Gate because it was set to end on Thursday, December 31, 2020.

  1. Good write up on this with all the details. IHG has run this for years but I have yet to win, even after hundreds of reviews over the past few years.

  2. I made reservations to stay at the Holiday Inn Express – 431 E loop 281 Longview Texas to stay from June 9, through June 14th. When I called, I requested a portable crib or play pen. I was assured one would be set aside for me. I was traveling with my 2 adult daughters, and a granddaughter. On the way to Texas, we ran into traffic delays. I called to let them know we wouldn’t get there by midnight, but we were still coming. I was told our room would be waiting for us with 2 queen beds. I asked about the crib to make sure it too would be available to us. I then was told no, that was the only Holiday Inn that didn’t have one. I told them I was told I would have one. The person I spoke too then said I must have talked to someone from corporate. One thing I hate is someone lying to me to cover their butt. I called 903-663-3196 when I made the reservation. It would have been people from THAT hotel that answered the phone. Okay so that was strike one. If I would have known beforehand, we could have brought the Pack N Play from home. Instead, we had to spend Around $55 to buy a new one that we only needed for the trip. We arrive around 5:30 am. At this point we’ve been on the road 15 or 16 hours only stopping for food, gas, and bathroom stops. When you’ve been up over 24 hours the only thing you want to do is go to sleep. When I went to check in, the guy said you’re in luck we have one room left. He said the room had ONE bed (for 3 adults and 1 child) I told him I made reservations almost 2 weeks ago for a room with 2 queen beds. He said I should be thankful he had a room left. Okay so that was strike 2. He told us in a couple hours we needed to get up, and go to our original room (the one that should have been waiting on us) Strike 3. If you’ve been up for as long as we had been, you don’t want to get up a few hours later, and change hotel rooms. We took the room until we could figure out what to do. I called around and found another hotel. I went and asked for a refund for the 4 days I paid for. He informed me it would take 30 days for the refund to show up on my credit card. I will NEVER stay at this hotel ever again. They lied to me at least twice. They wanted 3 adults, and a child to share one bed, and had the nerve to tell me I should be thankful. WOW!

  3. I loved staying at Holiday Inn 300 Tuttle Circle, Longview Tx. Everyone was so nice. Jonathan Bayne went out of his way to make sure our stay was pleasant. The hotel was very clean. I loved the hot tub, and pool. The location was great being so close to restaurants, and shopping. We rolled into town about 5:30 am. Another Hotel that I had made reservations with had sold my room over the night. I called this one, and the sweet lady who answered the phone said they had rooms available. I was so thankful. The check in didn’t take long at all. This review doesn’t do this hotel justice. It’s a beautiful hotel, with amazing staff who knows a lot about how a hotel should be ran. If you stay here, you won’t be disappointed.
