The following photograph was taken by a reader of The Gate — who wishes to remain anonymous — earlier this year while stationary in traffic on an off ramp from a highway in New Orleans. I am proud to say that readers of The Gate continue to keep sending photographs to me.

    Well, the route numbers are missing from the signs, but then the license plate is also blank, so maybe this is a privacy-edit glitch? But this should show US-90 West and US-90 Business West, and fun fact, as a local I can tell you that at this point, 90 Business West is actually heading Eastward. We don’t really use North, South, East and West in this city.

    The sign showing the direction to Tulane University is turned and not visible to drivers.

    a company, floor decor i think, is actually “now hiring” despite pandemic pandemonium?!?

    License plate only has the bird.

    Sign says west, to west bank, but it’s actually east.

    Well, I think the license plate and route numbers appear to be missing as a result of reflecting light. Its the west to Westbank and west to Claiborne. Only in New Orleans the Crescent City.
